A cheerful morning on the Mooncake Festival! Time to do a functional crown lengthening for a beautiful mother!

Before treatment: prior to see me, patient had done root canal treatment and crown preparation with temporary crown

Upon removal of temporary crown: palatal and mesial crown preparation margin were quite subgingival and violated the biological width

Flap raised: palatal margin was around 1.0mm from the crestal bone level. Mesial margin was around 1.5mm from crestal bone level. 

After bone trimming and root surface preparation. Crown Preparation was then refined and polished.

Flap sutured apically and well adapted to the tooth

Wound protection with ZOE dressing pad.



Awaiting complete wound healing and gingival stabilization for 3-4 months before final crown cementation.
